I received my Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Exceptional Education from the University of Alabama as well as my Master of Arts in the field of Exceptional Education from the University of Alabama. I am a Nationally Board  Certified Teacher in the state of Alabama.

I am honored to have been teaching the Alabama Public Schools for twenty two years. I have taught at both the middle and high school levels as well as established a nonprofit program for adults with exceptional needs as they exit high school and desire to integrate into community life, maintain adult friendships, and experience the rewards that come with thriving as a contributing member of tier community.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher and am highly qualified to teach functional academics in the areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

I currently teach grades 9 - 12 at HTHS. My primary focus is teaching students on the Alabama Alternate Standards Pathway, ensuring that they have every opportunity possible to participate in the full high school experience while still focusing on relevant academic tasks, life skills, and vocational training necessary to ensure their next step beyond high school is successful in every way possible.
